Black Lychee

Category: Tea & Infusions
Sweet, juicy, faintly rose-scented, the kind of cup that tastes like ripe summer fruit with none of the sugar. This is black tea infused with lychee, the sweet, floral Asian fruit whose flavor lands somewhere between grape and strawberry. Brew it hot for a fragrant afternoon cup, or brew it strong and pour it over ice for a naturally sweet iced tea that needs no sweetener. It also builds a lovely bubble tea (boba) base with milk or oat milk.
We infuse a smooth black tea base with natural lychee essence, so the fruit reads clean and juicy. In China, the lychee has been prized as a summer luxury for centuries, a fleeting harvest worth chasing, and this blend keeps that sweetness on the shelf year-round.
Ingredients: black tea and natural lychee essence. No sugar, no preservatives. Naturally vegan.
How do I brew it?
Use 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces of water, heat the water to about 200°F, and steep 3 minutes. Use fresh leaves each brew. Hold it to 3 minutes; a longer steep pulls bitter tannins from the black base and buries the sweet fruit.
Will it taste artificial, like perfume or soap?
No. That off note comes from cheap leaf doused in synthetic flavor. This starts with a smooth black tea base and natural lychee essence, so the cup reads clean, sweet, and rose-touched instead of soapy.
Does it work as an iced tea or a bubble tea (boba) latte?
Yes. For iced, brew it double-strength and pour over ice so the flavor holds as the ice melts, or steep it cold in the fridge overnight for an even sweeter pitcher. Because the fruit comes from essence and not acidic juice, it folds into milk or oat milk without curdling for a creamy boba base.
Does it have caffeine?
Yes. It is built on a black tea base, so it carries a moderate lift, close to a regular cup of black tea. Enjoy it in the morning or early afternoon.
