Key lime Mate

Key lime Mate - Main image
$7.5 $15 In stock

A bright citrus lift for the morning, built on yerba mate (a South American caffeinated herb) instead of coffee. Brew it hot to start the day, or chill a strong batch over ice for a caffeinated citrus cooler that carries you through a warm afternoon.

Yerba mate brings a grassy, earthy depth and real caffeine. On top, a natural key lime pie flavor with hibiscus, rosehip, and orange essence lifts it bright and tart. The citrus balances the earthiness of the mate, so the cup drinks clean rather than heavy.

We blend and pack in small batches in Portland. Blended from green yerba mate, hibiscus, rosehips, natural orange essence, and natural key lime pie flavor. Contains caffeine from the yerba mate. No sugar, no preservatives. Vegan.

How do I brew it?
Use one teaspoon per eight fluid ounces of water. Bring fresh water to a boil (212°F), pour it over the tea, and steep for five to ten minutes. Use fresh leaves each time you brew.

Mine came out bitter. How do I fix it?
Yerba mate grows bitter the longer it steeps. Keep the steep toward five minutes and the citrus stays forward, sharp and clean rather than harsh.

Does it have caffeine?
Yes. Yerba mate is naturally caffeinated, so this drinks as a morning or midday cup rather than an evening one.

How do I make it iced?
Brew it double strength, chill it, and pour over ice with a wedge of lime for a bright, caffeinated cooler.
