Passionfruit Tango
All the fruit of a cold glass of juice, none of the sugar. Brew it strong, chill it, and drink it cold, or sip it hot when you want the tropical fruit without the ice.
This caffeine-free blend tastes like a tropical juice: passionfruit, mango, and apricot over a base of hibiscus and rosehip, with apple, lemongrass, raspberry leaves, a touch of Ceylon cinnamon, and rose petals. The fruit softens the tartness of the hibiscus, so the cup drinks round and juicy rather than sharp.
We blend and pack in small batches in Portland so every fruit note stays bright in the tin. Blended from hibiscus, Ceylon cinnamon, dried apple, lemongrass, rosehips, raspberry leaves, natural passionfruit flavor, mango, apricot, and rose petals. Caffeine-free. No sugar, no preservatives. Vegan.
How do I brew it?
Use one teaspoon per eight fluid ounces of water. Bring fresh water to a boil (212°F), pour it over the tea, and steep for five to ten minutes. Use fresh leaves each time you brew.
Is it sweet, and how do I get a juice-like glass?
There is no added sugar in the tin, so the sweetness reads from the fruit itself. For a juice-like glass, brew it strong, chill it, and add a little honey or a splash of fruit if you want it sweeter.
Will the hibiscus taste too tart?
The mango, apricot, and apple balance it. Steep toward the shorter end of five minutes and the cup stays juicy and fruit-forward rather than sour.
How do I make it iced?
Brew it double strength, chill it, and pour over plenty of ice for a fruity, juice-like cooler.
