Pau d'Arco Wellness

Category: Tea & Infusions
Reach for this steady, earthy herbal cup when you want something warm and grounding that is not another sweet fruit tea. Sip it hot in the afternoon or evening, caffeine-free, with mint and ginger keeping it bright. The base is pau d'arco (the inner bark of a flowering tree native to Central and South America), woody and mild, lifted by fresh green herbs.
Spearmint and lemongrass give it a cool, citrus-green top note, ginger adds a gentle warmth, and echinacea (a flowering prairie herb also called coneflower) rounds out the blend. Pau d'arco itself brews a mild, slightly woody, earthy cup. We blend and pack it in small batches in Portland, with no salt, no sugar, and no preservatives.
Pau d'arco bark has a long history of traditional use across South America, where the trees grow. Here it anchors an everyday herbal blend, brewed simply and sipped warm.
Ingredients: pau d'arco bark, spearmint, ginger, lemongrass, echinacea. Caffeine-free. No salt, no sugar, no preservatives. Vegan.
How do I brew it?
Use one teaspoon per eight ounces of water. Heat fresh water to around 200°F, pour it over the tea, and steep for five minutes. Use fresh leaves each time you brew.
What does it taste like?
Mild and earthy from the bark, with a cool lift of spearmint and lemongrass and a little ginger warmth. It is not sweet or floral, more of a clean, grounding cup.
Is it caffeine-free?
Yes. It is all herbs and bark with no tea leaf, so it works at any time of day.
Is it good iced?
Yes. Brew it strong, chill it, and pour it over ice. The spearmint and lemongrass make it refreshing cold.
Does it need sweetener?
It is naturally unsweetened and earthy. A little honey or a slice of lemon brightens it if you prefer, though many drink it plain.
